The library's free citation workshop fixed my entire research mess

Tbh I've been struggling with APA citations for my sociology paper all semester. Last Tuesday I finally dragged myself to the free workshop at the downtown branch, thinking it'd be a boring slideshow. Instead the librarian showed us this trick using the database's built-in citation tool, then checking it against the official guide. I got my whole reference list done in like 20 minutes after weeks of guessing. Has anyone else slept on their local library's free resources like this?

The database citation tool is a lifesaver but its not perfect. I learned that the hard way when it mixed up the author names on one of my journal articles. Now I always run the generated citations through the official style guide pdf they have on their website, its a quick check. Honestly the workshop is just the start, the library also has one-on-one appointments for stuff like this. Saved my grade last term.
