Spent $80 on a fancy cursive workbook and my handwriting is still chicken scratch
I bought this 200-page workbook from a popular education site last month thinking it would fix my messy notes once and for all. Turns out, just tracing letters over and over doesn't actually teach you the muscle memory (go figure). Has anyone found a method that actually works for improving handwriting fast?

Oh PLEEEASE, slowing down and writing block letters is just going to make you feel like a kindergartener, not fix anything. Tracing is the ONLY way to build real muscle memory because it literally forces your hand to make the exact shapes over and over until it's automatic.

$80 for a workbook, ouch. I dropped $60 on one of those "Calligraphy for Dummies" kits and my handwriting still looks like a toddler on a sugar high traced it with their non-dominant hand. Honestly, what actually helped me was just slowing down and writing in block letters for a week. Like, every single thing I wrote, even grocery lists, I forced myself to print perfectly. It was annoying and slow at first, but it rewired my brain a bit. After that, when I went back to cursive, the shapes just came out way cleaner without all that tracing nonsense. Maybe try ditching the workbook and just do a few lines of your own stuff real slow for a while.
