Pro tip: A free online textbook from OpenStax saved my grade in Phoenix after my professor's notes were a total mess.

I was failing my college biology class in Phoenix because my professor's lecture notes were all over the place, so I switched to using a free OpenStax textbook for the rest of the semester and pulled my grade up to a B. Has anyone else found a specific free resource that saved them when the official class material wasn't working?

Wait, is OpenStax free for all subjects? I thought it was mostly for science and math. I used their biology book too, but for my friend's history class we couldn't find anything.

Oh wow yeah my buddy had the same problem last semester! He was taking some art history class and couldn't find a thing on OpenStax for it, ended up spending way too much at the bookstore. I guess they're still building up the other subjects, @jamiekim. It's a shame because the free science books are such a lifesaver. Hopefully they add more stuff soon so your friend doesn't get stuck next time.
