Overheard a teacher say Khan Academy is ruining math basics
She claimed kids just skip to the answer videos instead of struggling through problems, and after watching my nephew do exactly that last week I'm starting to agree. Has anyone else noticed their own retention getting worse with instant video help?

You mentioned kids skipping to the answer videos instead of working through problems. Thats exactly what I see with my own kids. They hit a tough problem, watch the video, and then breeze through the rest without really learning the steps. I started making them redo the problem without the video after and they struggle almost as much the second time around. It feels like the videos are turning into a crutch instead of a tool.
