Appreciation post: My kid's teacher said to try a free math site and it saved our nights

My son was really struggling with fractions for weeks, and our nightly homework time was just a fight. I was about to pay for a fancy online tutor, which we couldn't really afford. At parent-teacher night, Mrs. Chen, his 5th grade teacher, pulled me aside and said, 'Try Prodigy Math Game first, it's free and the kids don't even know they're learning.' I was pretty skeptical, but we gave it a shot that weekend. He played for an hour on Saturday and when we sat down with his workbook on Sunday, he just got it. The game turned the problems into a quest, and he finally understood equivalent fractions. It completely changed the mood in our house after school. Has anyone else found a specific free resource that actually worked when nothing else did?

It's wild how a different teacher's voice can unlock a concept textbooks couldn't.
