The old paper logbook habit I finally dropped last month
Been running a dredge on the Mississippi near Cape Girardeau for 15 years, always kept my daily depth and pump readings in a paper notebook. Last month the Coast Guard asked for three days of records and I spent an hour flipping wet pages, half of them smeared from hydraulic oil. I switched to a waterproof tablet in a $40 case, and now I can pull up any day's numbers in ten seconds. Anyone else still fighting the old ways because the new stuff feels like overkill?
