That time my digital protractor gave me a 45 degree reading on a 90 degree corner
I was laying out some ductwork angles on a job in Bakersfield last Wednesday and my new digital protractor said the corner was 45 degrees. Turns out the battery was dying and it was giving random numbers, which I didnt catch until I had already cut two pieces wrong. Has anyone else had a tool glitch out on a critical measurement and cost you material?

Saw a guy on a different forum say his digital level started going nuts after he dropped it on concrete. Same deal with the battery being loose inside.

A thick piece of foam tape inside the battery compartment fixed that exact problem for my level.
