Switched to CAD clip layers after 8 years of manual lineweights

I used to fight with lineweights every single drawing, setting them by hand in every view. Got tired of it and finally set up clip layers in AutoCAD Architecture last month after seeing a guy at a local shop in Denver knock out a whole floor plan in half the time. The automation is ugly at first but once I mapped my wall types, it just works. Anyone else make this jump and regret not doing it sooner, or is there a catch with plotting?
