Hot take: digital drafting tablets aren't worth the hype for residential work

I fought for years using just a mouse and keyboard for floor plans, and everyone told me to get a tablet. Finally tried a Wacom Intuos last month on a 3-bedroom house project, and honestly, I was slower than before and my lines looked wonky. Has anyone else stuck with a mouse and felt like the tablet crowd is overselling it?

Does my five-year-old daughter's finger-painting setup count as a digital drafting tablet? Because that's about the level of skill I'm working with.
