Dropped $400 on a used wide-format scanner and it was a bust

I picked up an old HP DesignJet from a closing shop in Austin for $400 thinking I'd save money scanning my big blueprints myself. Took me three days just to get the drivers working on Windows 10 and the thing still jams on anything over 24 inches wide. Should I just stick with the local print shop charging $5 a sheet or try a different used model?

Respectfully, $5 a sheet sounds like a steal compared to the headache you just bought. Stick with the print shop.
