Appreciation post: The old blueprint machine at my first job

I keep seeing new drafters skip the step of checking their own scale before sending a file. It mattered because our plotter would eat an entire D-size sheet if the scale was off by a tenth. How do you all double-check your work now?

That's just modern quality control, gone.

Yeah, saw a thing about how new appliances are basically built to break now. My parents' fridge from the 80s is still running, but the one I bought five years ago already needed a new compressor. It's like they design them to last just past the warranty.
