Spent 4 hours caulking a single window frame because I kept getting bubbles

After scraping all the old silicone off my kitchen window in Phoenix and trying three different application methods, I figured out the trick is to cut the tip at a steep angle and push the caulk instead of pulling it like every video shows.

Oh man, I had this exact problem with my bathroom window last summer. Tried the pull method for like an hour and got nothing but bubbles and frustration. Ended up just switching to one of those caulk smoothing tools you dip in water, worked way better than my finger. Actually had better luck with a cheaper silicone too, the expensive stuff seemed way too thick for me.

That part about "bubbles and frustration" hit home hard lol. My buddy Dan tried to redo his shower caulk last fall and he spent a whole Saturday battling those same bubbles. He kept saying "one more pass will fix it" but it just got worse and worse. He finally gave up and called his dad who came over with one of those little silicone scraping tools. They had it done in like 10 minutes flat, looked way cleaner than anything I've ever managed with my finger.
