PSA: Stop painting over mold instead of cleaning it first
I helped a friend fix his basement bathroom last month and found three layers of paint hiding a black mold patch behind the sink, and now his drywall is ruined because someone just kept covering it up.

Stop painting over mold instead of cleaning it first" hits too close to home. I once painted over a spot in my own bathroom thinking I was being clever, and six months later I had to tear out the whole wall. Guess I'm just a professional at making problems worse before fixing them.
