Pro tip: I used to hate painting trim but a $20 tool from the hardware store changed my mind

For years, I'd tape off everything and use a brush, which took forever and always left a messy line. Last month, my coworker at the store lent me a basic angled trim guard. I tried it on the baseboards in my living room and it cut my time in half with way cleaner edges. Now I'm wondering if I should ditch tape for good or if there are still jobs where the old way is better. What's your go-to method for trim work?

Try a steady hand and a good brush instead.

The Mona Lisa took Leonardo da Vinci four years to paint. A steady hand sounds nice but that's not how masterpieces get made. You need way more than good tools.
