Just tried painting trim before walls and it saved me so much tape
I always painted walls first then taped off for trim, but it took forever and paint always bled through. Watched a YouTube video from a guy in Portland who said to do trim first, then just cut in the wall color right up to it with a good angle brush. Tried it on my living room baseboards last weekend and finished in half the time with zero bleeding. Anyone else do it this way or am I missing something?

Totally feel your pain on the tape bleed through, it's the worst when you peel it off and see that little line of white paint. I switched to trim first about a year ago and honestly it changed everything for me too, way less frustrating. Makes total sense to do the fussy part first and then just cut in the walls nice and easy.

Nope, that bleed through is a total buzzkill after all that careful taping... Trim first crew for life haha.
