I finally hit 50 hours on my deck rebuild and it made me rethink the whole 'DIY saves money' idea

I'm in St. Louis and just finished the framing stage after a full week of work. Everyone says you save thousands doing it yourself, but when I added up the cost of the pressure-treated lumber, concrete, and my time, I'm not so sure. Has anyone else tracked their hours on a big project and been surprised by the total?
