Hit my first 500 square feet of LVP solo in a single day

I was flooring over at a house off Maple Street in Eugene last Thursday and finally broke my own record. Been doing this on my own for about 8 months now after leaving the crew, and I managed to lay and click 500 square feet of luxury vinyl plank before 5pm. No help, no second pair of hands, just me and my knee pads. Has anyone else found a rhythm change that really bumped up their speed on single-person installs?

Man I feel this. What really clicked for me was ditching the t-square and using a speed square and utility knife combo for the rip cuts. I cut about 20 planks at a time before laying anything. Also started staging all my boxes in a line so I just grab and go instead of walking back and forth. Saves me like 15 minutes an hour easy.

That grabbing from a staged box line thing you mentioned really got me thinking. I've got an awkward layout with a lot of doorways and closets how do you handle the box staging when you're working around corners or backtracking constantly? @craig.nathan I'm curious if you pre-plan that or just move the whole pile as you go. Also what kind of knee pads are you using I'm still on the cheap foam ones and my knees start screaming around hour four.
