Framing nailer vs screw gun for studs, I chose wrong
Just finished my garage wall in Tulsa. Took 3 days instead of 1 because I trusted the screw gun for the studs. Screws strip out in pine if you breathe wrong. Swapped to a rented framing nailer halfway through. Night and day difference, don't be stubborn like me. Anyone else stuck with the wrong fastener for a whole weekend?
Man, the fastener decides how fast you go before you even pick up the tool, most guys never think about that. Nails let you move with the wood instead of fighting it, screws lock you into a stare down with every knot.
