Unpopular opinion: those $25 'gaming' desk cable trays are a fire risk, and I found out the hard way
I read a post on a sim racing forum where a guy said his cheap plastic tray started sagging and melting after 6 months of holding a power strip and three monitor cables. Mine was doing the same thing, so I swapped it for a $7 metal rain gutter from the hardware store in Boise and it's been solid for 2 years now. Anyone else had a plastic tray go soft on them, or am I just running too much gear?
