Thought a $12 monitor stand from a thrift shop in Boise would be junk, it's solid as a rock
I grabbed this ugly gray metal thing at a thrift shop on State Street for 12 bucks just to get my screen off the floor, and I figured it would wobble or bend by spring. It has held up for 8 months now with zero shimmy, and honestly it beats the particle board one my buddy built. The trick was flipping it so the heavy lip faces the back, which locks it flat. What's the cheapest thing on your desk that ended up outlasting the stuff you built yourself?
