Shoutout to the $12 IKEA legs over the $60 monitor arm, saved my neck and my wallet
Last month I had to pick between a $60 clamp arm and a $12 pair of pine legs from the as-is bin in Chicago, and I went with the cheap legs so I could raise my monitor 6 inches and slide a shoebox under it for cables. Two weeks in, my neck feels fine and nothing wobbles, but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on the arm. Did anyone here start with blocks or legs and switch later, and was it actually worth the jump?
