Rant: my brother in law said my pour over was weak, so I fixed the real problem
He tried my coffee last month and said it tasted like hot water, which stung because I was already grinding fine and pouring slow. Turns out my kettle was the issue, not the technique, so I stuck a $3 meat thermometer in the spout and now I pull it off at 200 degrees instead of guessing. Anyone else ditch the fancy gooseneck temp setting for a cheap thermometer?
