PID controller install took 4 nights, mostly my own fault
Finally got my Rancilio Silvia stable at 200F after fighting the wiring for what felt like forever. Turned out I had the thermocouple reads reversed on the XMT7100, so it was heating full blast thinking it was cold. Took me 3 evenings just to notice the display numbers going down as the boiler got hotter. Anyone else struggled with the probe placement on these cheap controllers?

Reversed thermocouple reads happen to everyone once, not exactly a crisis though.
