Poured a 12x16 shed slab last month, went with fiber mesh instead of welded wire and I keep second guessing it
I was trying to decide between fiber mesh and welded wire for a 12x16 shed slab I poured last month, and after asking around I went with fiber mesh because it was about $80 cheaper and way less hassle to place. The pour went fine and it looks good so far, but now I'm worried about cracks showing up once we get a real freeze. Two guys at the supply yard said fiber is fine for a shed, but my neighbor who does concrete work told me I'll regret it in a few years. Anyone here poured a similar slab with fiber mesh and had it hold up? Would love to hear how it's holding after a couple winters.
