Appreciation post: the guy at the lumber yard in Tulsa who handed me a 2x4 and said 'rack it, don't stack it'
I was building a 12 foot workbench and stacking all my pine flat on the garage floor, and after two days every board had a bow you could see from across the room. He laughed at me, pulled a scrap out of the rack leaning upright, and that pile stayed straight all winter while my flat stack turned into firewood. So do you guys rack your stock too, or am I the only one who had to learn this the dumb way?
