That one week last summer where I replaced three flat tires in four days on the same bike

I swear I almost threw my bike into the river after the third one. First flat was just bad luck, ran over a staple on the Greenway trail. Second one I thought I fixed it right but I guess I pinched the tube putting it back on. Third one was a thorn that somehow went straight through my new tire and tube. I spent like $30 on tubes and patches that week and missed two good riding days. Has anyone else had a run of bad luck like that where it felt like the universe was just against you riding?

Wow okay I gotta push back on this one lol. I've had a ton of flats over the years and honestly three in a week is just part of the deal if you ride enough. That staple on the Greenway isn't the universe hating you, it's just the universe being messy. The pinched tube is on you man, gotta be more careful with the tire levers. And the thorn through a brand new tire? That sucks but it happens. I've had a goathead go through a brand new $60 tire the same day I put it on. You didn't miss riding days either, you chose to stay home. Fixing flats is annoying but it's part of riding, not some cosmic punishment. Just buy a pack of tubes and keep rolling, you'll be fine.
