My buddy Jake dropped 80 bucks on a new chain and cassette thinking his drivetrain was toast. I loaned him my Park Tool chain checker and he found out it was just a sticky link. He still cracks up about it every time we ride. Saved him a whole afternoon of wrenching and a bunch of cash too.
