Am I the only one who thought chain wax was just a fad?

I used wet lube for years, but after trying wax on my gravel bike this winter, my drivetrain stayed clean for over 300 miles. Anyone have a good brand they like that isn't too pricey?

Totally, the quiet drivetrain is the best part. I used to hate that gritty sound after a wet ride, but now it's just smooth. Even after a muddy gravel race, I just hose the bike off and the chain looks almost new. The upfront work is real, but not having to deep clean my chain every week saves so much time.

Honestly I was right there with you thinking it was just a fad. I mean, wet lube always worked fine for me. But after a full season of wax on my commuter bike, I had to admit I was wrong. The lack of grime is just unreal, and everything runs so quiet. It's a bit more work upfront but totally worth it for how clean it stays.
