Saw a diner in Omaha use plain blue dish soap on a $9 plate, and now I'm second guessing my whole sink setup
I stopped at a little diner off I-80 in Omaha last month and watched the dish guy through the window while I ate. He had one big jug of basic blue soap, no fancy label, and he was washing these heavy stoneware plates that cost like $9 each at the gift shop. I asked him about it and he said the cheap stuff cuts grease better than the gel kind his boss bought once. Now I'm sitting here with three half-used bottles under my sink wondering if I've been overthinking this. My hands do get dry from the lemon scented kind I use now, so maybe simple is the move. What's the actual cheapest soap that still gets plates clean without wrecking your hands?
