A 23 year old at a co-working space in Chiang Mai made me question my routine
She said she'd been hopping countries every 2 weeks for a year and called my 3 month stays 'too settled,' which got me thinking about whether I've just been recreating an office life with better weather. Has anyone else had a younger nomad challenge their pace and actually reconsidered it?
The constant moving thing sounds cool until you actually try it. Two weeks per country means you're spending a big chunk of that time on buses, airports, and visa runs, then by the time you find a decent coffee spot and learn where the good food is, you're already packing up. Three months lets you actually get to know a place, build a small routine, make a few friends instead of just swapping instagram handles at hostels. The younger nomad might just be chasing the idea of being a nomad more than the actual living part, which gets old fast once the novelty wears off.
