Question about showing GIF loops in a gallery show, how do you deal with frame rate on the venue screen?
I put three of my looping GIF pieces into a small group show at a gallery in Cleveland last month and they looked way choppier on the venue's projector than on my laptop, like the motion just stuttered the whole night. I exported at 24fps but the house machine seemed to drop frames on anything bigger than 1080p. Has anyone figured out a safe export setting for gallery projectors, or do you just bring your own screen?
