Picked CMYK over RGB for my print portfolio and now my blues look muddy
I put together a 12 piece digital art portfolio for a local gallery show in Austin last month. I made everything in RGB like always, then had to pick between exporting as RGB and letting their printer convert it, or doing the CMYK conversion myself. I went with doing it myself because I thought I'd have more control. Big mistake. My neon purples turned into this sad grayish blue and two pieces lost all their glow. The gallery still hung them but I could tell the difference immediately next to the other work. Has anyone here made the CMYK switch successfully without everything going flat? I need to know what I'm doing wrong before the next show.
