Serious question, why did nobody tell me a brass drift beats a pickle fork on ball joints
I've been beating ball joints apart with a pickle fork for years and tearing boots half the time, then a guy at the shop in Tulsa handed me a brass drift and a 3 lb hammer. Took me about 15 minutes per side on a 2012 F-250 instead of the usual hour of cussing and swinging. The drift pops the stud clean without wrecking the boot or the knuckle, and I didn't have to break out the torch once. What's your go to for stubborn ball joints, or am I late to this party?
