Remember when everyone just clicked 'update later' on their computers?
Honestly, back in like 2015, my whole family would ignore those software update popups for weeks. Tbh, we just saw them as annoying. Then the big ransomware stuff hit the news, and our IT guy at work gave a talk showing how many attacks used old, unpatched software. Ngl, it scared me straight. Now I have auto-updates on for everything at home. Has your update habit changed too?

Honestly, I'm still in the 'update later' camp. Auto-updates broke my printer drivers twice last year. Now I wait a week or two to see if an update causes problems for other people first. My old laptop also got noticeably slower after a big OS update. Sometimes the cure feels worse than the risk.

But security holes are a bigger risk, right?
