I ignored my bank's security alerts for 2 years because I thought they were spam
Every time I logged in from my laptop at my kitchen table in Boise I'd get a text saying "verify this login" and I'd just delete it. Figured it was a dumb automated thing since I was literally on my home wifi. Then in March someone in Ohio logged into my checking account at 3am and moved $400 out. My bank caught it, froze the card, and called me. The rep told me those texts were real alerts and had been firing every single time for 2 years. I had 47 unread ones in my phone. Now I actually read them and noticed my roommate's old tablet was still signed into my account from 2021. Anyone else just blindly swipe away those verify texts?
