Hotel front desk gave me their WiFi password on a sticky note with the QR code right there
I was checking into a Marriott in Nashville last Tuesday and the guy handed me a paper with the network name and password written out. I noticed the QR code was printed right on the key card sleeve but nobody uses it. Has anyone else seen this kind of disconnect at hotel check-ins where they ignore the safer login method?

Oh come on, who actually wants to go through the hassle of scanning a QR code on your phone when all you're trying to do is get your bags to the room? The sticky note is way faster - you glance at it, punch in the password, and you're connected in five seconds flat. Plus half the time those QR codes don't even work right because the lighting in the lobby is bad or your camera can't focus on the tiny print. If anything, the front desk is doing you a favor by giving you the password directly instead of making you mess with your phone camera for a minute.
