Bribed my kid with $20 of arcade tokens so he'd sit through the safety drill, and it fixed our whole trip
Last March on a 7 day run out of Galveston my 9 year old would not stand still during the muster drill and we got the stink eye from everyone. So on the next cruise I handed him a roll of quarters and told him every minute he stood quiet earned him one. He made it the whole drill without a peep and we walked straight to the arcade after. Now he actually reminds ME when the drill is coming up because he wants his payout. Anyone else found a cheap bribe that somehow works better than yelling?

Nine years old and he sat through the WHOLE drill for a roll of quarters? My nephew is the same age and he can't make it through a 30 second TikTok without getting up twice. The part that really gets me is him reminding YOU now, that kid figured out the system and turned it into a job. I'm sitting here wondering if this works on adults too because my husband acts the same way at those drills.
