Wasted $150 on a fake security camera that did nothing

Bought one of those dummy cameras off Amazon from some random brand, figured it would scare off the weirdo who keeps peeking in my windows at night. Caught him on my real camera two weeks later, he didn't even glance at the fake one. Anyone else have a fake security thing that was totally useless?

In my experience those things only work if someone's not already determined to get in.
