The clipboard log my neighbor on Mercer Island kept, and how it backed him off
Had a guy two doors down who liked to stand at the edge of my driveway around 9pm and just stare at my garage for 20 to 30 minutes. Not walking, not talking, just standing. I tried being friendly first, waved, asked if he needed something. Nothing. So I started a cheap spiral notebook log, date, time, what he did, weather, and I snapped one photo each time from my front window. Two months of that, 27 entries, and when I finally walked it over to the local cop shop the officer actually read the whole thing and said it gave him a pattern to work with. Turns out the guy had three other logs against him on the same block but nobody had times that lined up. Cop visited him, and the standing stopped inside a week. Writing it down beat yelling at him, which is what I almost did the second night. Curious if anyone here keeps a paper log or if you all just use your phone.

Kept a 3-page log on my old landlord and it did the same thing.
