Rant: My neighbor told me my Halloween decorations were "too much" and honestly she was right

I used to go all out for Halloween every year. Like, full graveyard in the front yard, fog machine, the works. Last year my elderly neighbor across the street came over and said my strobe light was giving her migraines and the fake spiderwebs were a tripping hazard. I got defensive at first but then I watched her walk back home and realized I never even asked anyone if they liked it. Now I just do a simple setup with a couple pumpkins and one inflatable ghost. Way less stress and nobody complains. Has anyone else toned it down after someone spoke up?
