My neighbor's pasta recipe cured my insomnia for 2 nights

The guy across the hall in my building in Cleveland started leaving a plate of spaghetti on my doormat every Tuesday, no note or anything. I finally asked him about it and he said he was testing his grandmother's old recipe to see if it could knock people out like it did to him. I ate it twice, slept like a baby both times, but now I'm wondering if I should be worried about what's actually in that sauce. Anyone else get weird food from a neighbor that turned out to work better than any sleep aid?
