For two years my neighbor on Maple Street kept a single gnome that moved spots overnight. I figured it was some prank or just him being odd, so I never paid it mind. Last Tuesday I saw him at 2 AM placing the gnome facing my bedroom window, and I finally walked over to ask why. He told me he was tracking the moon's path for his wife's grave, and the gnome marked where she used to sit.
