Dismissed a neighbor's 'curse' warning until my porch light flickered for 11 nights straight

I laughed off old Mrs. Kline when she said my new house sat on a 'restless patch' after moving to Tucson last fall, but then her exact prediction about my front porch light came true, flickering every night at 2:15 AM even after I replaced the bulb twice. Has anyone else had a neighbor's weird warning actually play out, or did I just get lucky with a wiring issue?}
