PSA: Your outrigger pads on asphalt in July are not as stable as you think
Watched a guy set up his 60 ton on a blacktop lot near Fresno last month and by 2pm the pads had sunk almost 2 inches into the softened surface. He had mats but only used them on the front two outriggers because the back ones looked fine at 7am when it was still cool. Blacktop gets soft in direct sun and what looks level at morning pre-shift is a different story by the afternoon. Anyone else seen mats sink on hot days, and do you double up or just move the truck?
