That $70 Slime Rancher expansion pack was a total trap

I grabbed it last Tuesday thinking the new area would be a chill place to relax after work, but it's just endless resource grinding and the slimes keep escaping through a fence glitch. Lost about 12 hours of playtime before I gave up and went back to the base game. Has anyone else felt burned by a paid DLC that makes the cozy vibe worse instead of better?
