My island's ugly phase lasted 14 days and I almost reset everything

I took a before screenshot last week when I first flattened my Animal Crossing island. Hated it. Just dirt and a few sad trees scattered around, zero flowers, paths going nowhere. Then I spent like 3 evenings just doing tiny stuff, one cliff at a time, one flower patch near my house. This morning I stood at the same spot and took the after shot. I genuinely forgot which save file I was looking at. It went from a blank dirt lot to something that actually looks like a little village corner. The weird thing is nothing big happened, no terraforming marathon, no custom designs yet. Just small choices every day. Does anyone else hit that ugly middle stretch and almost delete everything before it clicks?
