Showing damage doesn't ALWAYS change their mind, sadly.

Did you explain why it would damage their hair? I always offer a deep conditioning treatment or a different style instead. They usually come around when they see you're trying to protect their hair.

Tbh, when you say they usually come around, that's key. I've found showing them a quick picture of what heat damage looks like really makes it click. Honestly, it turns the whole conversation around.
