I finally stopped buying those expensive hydrating sprays from the beauty supply store

I spent like $40 on a big bottle of that fancy hydrating spray last month because I thought it would save my dry ends between clients. But my coworker at the salon in Austin told me she just uses a mix of water and a drop of argan oil in a spritz bottle, and it works way better. I tried it this week and honestly my hair looks smoother than with the store stuff. Has anyone else found a cheap dupe that replaced a pricey product for you?

I tried putting straight aloe vera juice in a spray bottle once and it smelled weird for hours...

...and you just stood there fanning the air like "what died in here?" right? Because I swear straight aloe juice straight from the leaf has this funky almost grassy smell that just hangs around. Did you at least try adding a drop of essential oil or something to save it, or did you just dump the whole bottle down the drain after that? Because I've been tempted to try it myself for sunburns but that smell is making me hesitate hard.
