Honestly, I got sick of finding spray paint on my shed every month so I bought a ATN X-Sight 4K Pro scope for $200 on sale. Set it up in my backyard pointing at the alley and on the third night I saw someone at 2 AM. Turned out it was the kid from three houses down and I had the footage to show his parents.
