Am I the only one who thinks family recipes used to be more trusted than they are now?

I remember my grandma's cookbook had simple instructions with no worries about hidden agendas. Now, when I share a recipe online, someone always brings up a conspiracy about ingredient sourcing. It's sad how even homemade meals can turn into a debate. Makes me appreciate those quiet kitchen moments from years ago.

My grandma's handwritten recipes still feel sacred to me.

Handwritten recipes connect us to people in a way typed ones just can't. Her handwriting and little notes make it feel like she's right there. Those old cards are real treasure.

Laughing at how people now treat recipes like secret government documents (my mom's meatloaf had zero classified ingredients, trust me). Oh, you posted a potato salad recipe? Get ready for the "but where did those potatoes COME FROM, Susan?" interrogation. I miss when the biggest controversy was whether you should use sweet or dill pickles in the mix. Now every comment section turns into a full blown CIA briefing about organic sourcing and farm-to-table conspiracies.
